SUGGESTED APPROACH

SAMPLE ANSWER
Old buildings not only are useful, but also keep the history alive. Not all of them have enough history to say that it better to maintain all.In my opinion only the buildings that are related with history of a nation should be maintained, because it will help people to remember about it and will eventually create a sense of pride in them. These buildings can also be part of history education, where people can see and understand the architecture and story related to it.
In most of the countries, there are famous people that helped to build the nation, fought for independence or helped in either social, economic, political and environmental growth. When people see the buildings where these famous people lived and had spend time, will help the common people to reconstruct the stories and also able to compare and contrast the situation before and at present. Finally, nowadays human beings are capable of renovating and maintaining the old buildings in good condition without losing the historical or artistic value attached to it.
On the other hand, its true that cities of the world have to continue with its development. Therefore, they have to continue with its development by constructing new buildings with modern environment and comfort level.New buildings brings new technologies as well, that could improve the efficiencies, productivity, organisations, offices etc.
In conclusion, some buildings would be knocked down to make way for progress and development. However, the old buildings that have great historical importance should be maintained.Knocking down these buildings will be similar to knocking down our traditions, culture, history and even some part of or lives.
