Nowadays, most of the jobs are managed and performed manually and these could also be substituted by machines. The pros and cons are discussed below.
One of the positive things that can be observed when the work is done manually is a less error-free situation, as the worker or employee perform the task with close observation and follow the procedure or rules that are necessary. The employees or staff at big industries or companies are trained to handle and understand the complexity involved in their work. These companies also help in the economic growth of country thereby providing a large number of jobs to new graduates, experienced individuals, and skilled personnel. For example, if a software company wins a contract, they would hire many people to manage the project and to develop and test the quality of the application. In addition, the economic growth also helps in developing the cities, as more number of people migrate to these locations where the companies are located.
On the other hand, some entrepreneurs believe that many jobs could be replaced by machines, as they work faster and very efficient on performance. Moreover, the equipment is durable for a long time and cost-effective because the setup would require one-time huge investment and later it involves maintenance of the machines. As a result, the company’s turnover and profit would significantly increase and along with this, they would also spend less money on resources to do the manual job. For instance, instead of hiring 10 people for one task, the machines could be used and hire one person to handle it. Also, this motivates to adopt latest methods or technologies emerging in the business.
According to me, I believe that replacing manual jobs by machines would not only help the nation to grow economically but also helps in developing the country.
